🧿 Bottom line is this could be a good deal for the Township and help further Economic Development. However, this is NOT what is concerning or being brought into question. The timing, lack of transparency, and overall negative perception from a residents perspective is what is most concerning and opens fresh wounds of how the incorporation agenda was rushed on the ballot to vote using similar tactics.
🧿 It is a shame that some board members have chosen to leave office in this manner and not postpone this topic until vetted by the new board and the residents given a chance to review. (Ironically, this is the exact behavior demonstrated which resulted in the communities decision to remove said directors)

Abusing the process to where you got into executive session to take care of your business in secrecy outside of the residents and the public.
To rush this because many of you are going off the board and walking out the door is a disservice to the residents.
I do think this is rushed and reeks of the prior incorporation issue where we came in at the 11th and 12th hours to get this on the ballot.

Let me be very clear, I’m a big proponent for economic development.
My main issue and my 100% issue of why I’m here today is this process in which Chairman Bunch and this board has followed. This is a sneaky business deal without any public awareness any public input.
This is exactly why and how 4 seats of the board are turning over in roughly 48 hours.
It’s just like incorporation, the numbers didn’t add up for incorporation and we don’t know if the numbers add up here. Maybe they do, maybe they don’t but we don’t know.
They (The residents) need to understand why their priorities over other local needs such as the Grogan’s Mill Shopping Center and Panther Creek Shopping Centers. Those are Hot Button issues in our community. That is retail space in our community that is 50% unoccupied, that is dilapidated falling apart and you're not doing anything for them. You're not talking to them.
